The Origami King

Paper Mario: The Origami King is now available on Switch. The word on the street is it’s pretty good. One thing it has, and always contained since the series’ inception, is a sense of humor. However, players have found an easter egg that can be a little inappropriate when viewed under a certain lens.

Who knew Paper Mario: The Origami King had adult jokes?

The NSFW easter egg in question can be obtained when Mario is exploring the Scorching Sandpaper Desert. At some point, the mustachioed one receives a replica of the Desert Tower. When rotated a certain way, it looks like the image up above.

One thing that lends credence to this being a real adult gag is the fact the collectible’s entry number is 69. Also, the shape of the head and position of the feet are a dead giveaway this item is phallic in nature. It’s something that would fly over kids’ heads but register in the dirty brains of us adults.

Enthusiasts, what do you make of this replica in The Origami King? Is its inappropriate nature just a coincidence or something intended by the developers? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
