If you’ve been (im)patiently waiting for the physical edition of Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! to release, you don’t have too much longer to wait. Publisher Serenity Forge announced a few days ago that this version of the game will launch in North America in two months, on August 31st! Unfortunately, no date was announced for Europe and Asia, though they should be coming “at a later date.”
Hey #DDLCPlus fans! We know some of you have been asking about the NA physical edition release date and seeing a number of retailers shift their timelines.
After working with our retail and manufacturing partners, we can confirm a NA physical release date of August 31st, 2021!

For the price of $29.99, the physical edition of Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! comes with a copy of the game, four character standees, a download code for the soundtrack, a sticker set, a Literature Club membership card, and an exclusive poem written by none other than Monika herself! This is the only way to get a physical copy of the game, and at this time there are no plans to produce physical copies for Xbox and PC. Serenity Forge has indicated that it will stock more copies of this version in the future, both on-site and with retailers, so if you missed out on ordering it already, keep an eye out!
If you still can’t wait, or are fine with the digital edition, have no fear, as Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! is available as of today on all current gen consoles and PC (a Mac version is set to come at some future date) for a base price of $14.99. However, the eShop and Steam are currently running a 10% launch discount, bringing the price down to $13.49 for the next week. Further, PlayStation Plus members can also take advantage of this discount, though those without a subscription and those on Xbox are stuck at full price. And if you’re still unsure whether to dive into this release, our review called it “nothing short of a masterpiece” and largely praised its jump to consoles!
