The Stretchers

The Stretchers, a new medical co-op game developed by Tarsier Studios and published by Nintendo, just fell out of the sky and onto the Japanese Switch eShop. Careening an ambulance through offroad shortcuts, piling six bodies onto a stretcher at once, and throwing basic medical procedure out the window while working through all sorts of absurd puzzles and scenarios? That’s The Stretchers for you. You can check out the launch trailer below, courtesy of GameXplain, for a load of hectic driving and perilous stretcher maneuvers.

Looks like chaotic co-op fun to me–like a cross between Crazy Taxi and Overcooked! The Stretchers appears to have a ton of different ideas at play, resulting in droves of cool puzzles and challenges for you and your co-op partner. If the gameplay is good, this title could go from completely unknown to capturing our hearts in a matter of days. Are you as intrigued as I am?

The Stretchers, developed by the same studio that made Little Nightmares, is currently only available in the Japanese eShop. The release came entirely out of left field, and we know basically nothing about the game, including whether or not it is planned for other territories. Hopefully, it is, because I want to take a crack at it as soon as possible.
