The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt review Panic Button is not working on it The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Light Edition

Last October, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition made its way to Nintendo Switch. To this day, the port remains one of the most impressive Switch titles, packing a massive open-world RPG and two DLC expansions onto a single Switch cartridge. However, an unconfirmed retail listing at German store Media Markt now shows an alternate version of the game. The alleged product is titled The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Light Edition, with no further details at present. The projected release date is Oct. 15, which would put the release at a year after 2019’s Complete Edition. But what could a light edition entail, if it’s real?

Well, it could simply be the base game with no additional DLC content. That would be a strange way to go though, a complete edition releasing before the standard version. It could also be a smaller cartridge with a portion of the game as a downloadable patch, but that would hardly be a “light edition” in terms of consumer experience.

Some physical copies of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition came with bonuses like a map, compendium, and a sticker set. This light edition could obviously cut those goodies out at least.

Time will tell if this The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Light Edition Switch listing is legitimate.
