A couple new tidbits of news regarding Square-Enix’s latest Theatrhythm game, Theatrhythm Dragon Quest have emerged today. The first piece of news is that in a break to series tradition, downloadable content for the game will be offered to players for free. The game’s predecessor’s Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call both featured an extensive range of DLC but all of it was paid-for. It will be interesting to see just how much DLC the company choose to offer and if it will include music from the company’s illustrious history or simply rely on the Dragon Quest series.

The second piece of news is confirmation that the game will not make use of the Nintendo 3DS’s stereoscopic 3D ability. Fortunately this feature was not used to great effect on the original games so it seems this is no major loss.

Do you intend to pick up the new game and have you played the originals? Tell us in the comments below.
