Toby Fox is everywhere these days. For instance, the developer of Undertale has been honored through wrestling, created tunes for Little Town Hero, and is still plugging away at his latest game, Deltarune. Regarding his music, Toby was tapped to create a song for the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield. For fans wanting a taste, a snippet of the composition was officially unveiled today through The Official Pokémon YouTube channel.

Toby’s tunes are instantly recognizable

Prepare your ears for some sweet notes:

I dig it. It gets me ready to call out my animal friends to brutally attack other cute creatures. Also, I’m assuming this track is reserved for some Gym Leader encounter, as the Pokémon titles usually have one main battle theme. If so, it’s a great song to shake things up. I can’t wait to hear the rest.

Are you curious about how the song came to be? Then check out a special message from Toby via the Pokémon website. He describes meeting Game Freak and how he came up with the tune.
