From the official Japanese Nintendo website, a new screenshot shows Mamori Minamoto from Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore in a costume from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The party member is seen wearing a Fire Emblem: Three Houses Officers Academy uniform. This is the only crossover costume seen so far.
The rerelease announcement on Sept. 4 during the Nintendo Direct promised new content coming to Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. The Encore version of the 2015 Wii U game will have new party members, expanded story, and a new song; music was a key element of the game.
With the smash-hit success of Fire Emblem: Three Houses it’s really no surprise that it would get some form of representation here. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE primarily features characters present in Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. The characters in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE gain powers through these Fire Emblem characters, and it would make sense if some of the new characters were Three Houses–related.
This will also be a sort of holdover until more news of Shin Megami Tensei V comes. Both games are developed by Atlus and share gameplay elements. “TMS,” the initials for Tokyo Mirage Sessions, is “SMT” backward, after all.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore releases Jan. 17, 2020 for the Switch. Did you pick the game up on the Wii U, or will this be your first time? Were you already planning on buying it, or is the Fire Emblem: Three Houses content starting to convince you? Let us hear from you.
