With the official release date of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore just a couple of short days away, Nintendo is putting out some final trailers and previews for the game that show off what fans can expect in the Nintendo Switch port of the 2015 Wii U JRPG hit. Most notably, a recent trailer for the game released by Nintendo overviews all of the new content exclusive to this Nintendo Switch version of the title, including looks at some brand new costumes to be included in the game.
We already knew that a costume based on Persona 5 protagonist and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter Joker was set to be included in the game. This trailer officially confirms that one of the new costumes exclusive to this Switch release of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore lets protagonist Itsuki Aoi dress as the Phantom Thief himself. Mamori Minamoto also gets to dress up as Reuben Schwester from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, while Eleonora Yumizuru gets a “Cross Bravery” costume based on armor from Etrian Odyssey Nexus. Finally, Yashiro Tsurugi gets a “Demon Replica” costume based on artwork from Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.
On top of new costumes, the Nintendo Switch release of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is set to include a new side story, a brand new song, and bonus Session attacks utilizing side characters from the game. There are also much faster loading times in the game, on top of shortened performance animations and sped up battles that make the game flow way smoother. Check out our review for more information!
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is set to release on the Nintendo Switch on Jan. 17.
