Activision Blizzard has announced that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will launch on Nintendo Switch with a release date of June 25, 2021. As the title suggests, the game comprises full-scale remasters of the original two Tony Hawk games, and to date, the remastered collection has sold over 1 million units on its other platforms, which include PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Whether you appreciated the classic punk-flavored soundtrack or just the visceral gameplay, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 has something for old-school fans and skating lovers in general. Activision Blizzard PR states the game “blends all the original levels, pro skaters, old-school tricks, a killer soundtrack with old and new beats and more that gamers remember from the ‘90s and ‘00s with new, beautifully recreated levels.”
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 finally has a release date on Switch after many months of not even being announced for the platform, yet the even better news is that this is not your only skateboarding option on Switch. There is also Skate City, for example, which just released. However, if you’re not so much concerned about that and more interested in further remasters of old Activision Blizzard properties, the good news there is that more remasters are apparently in the works, such as Diablo II: Resurrected.
