Overcooked Tools up

A cross between Overcooked! and home renovation, Tools Up! launched on Switch late last year, but the development team recently decided to sweeten the deal with a hefty new update. Developer All in! Games just launched a free update for the game that adds New Game+ in the form of Time Attack mode, tosses a few Medieval-themed skins into the wardrobe, and squashes plenty of pesky bugs. Check out a trailer for the new update below, courtesy of the developer’s official YouTube channel.

To celebrate the new content and draw in new players hungry for some hair-pulling co-op action in the same vein as Overcooked! and Moving Out, All in! Games is discounting Tools Up! by 20% on the Switch eShop (that discount lasts until September 27 in Europe and September 28 in North America). Additionally, a free demo is now available on the eShop. The demo lets players try out levels 1-1, 1-2, 2-2, 3-2, and 5-3 in Party Mode so that they can see if Tools Up! scratches that Overcooked! itch.

Have you tried out Tools Up!? Would you recommend the game to folks looking for some frantic co-op action? I haven’t had the opportunity to try the game out for myself just yet, but with a demo and a sale, maybe I’ll give it a go. After all, I love this line of co-op titles inspired by the likes of Overcooked! Games like Moving Out, the upcoming Shakes on a Plane, and Tools Up! all offer some interesting variation on the original hit formula, and I’m always excited to try one out.
