Torchlight III launched on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One earlier this month, after four months of early access. At the time the full launch went live, developer Echtra Games and publisher Perfect World Entertainment provided an exciting update for Switch owners. The Nintendo Switch release was just around the corner.
That corner led to Oct. 22, and the Torchlight III Switch launch is now here. Its launch relatively close to the launches on other platforms was quite welcome, as plenty of Switch versions of multiplatform games have been pushed far back recently. To coincide with the Switch launch, the developer has now released a Nintendo Switch launch trailer.
It’s short and sweet but does feature actual gameplay, unlike the cinematic launch trailer from earlier this month. It’s also specific to the Switch release, so we’re assuming it’s proper gameplay from Nintendo’s hybrid system. If so, it looks pretty damn good, and the art style feels right at home on Switch.
If you feel like jumping into this action RPG at launch, Torchlight III will set you back $39.99 on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Each platform has its own exclusive pet too, and Nintendo Switch’s exclusive option is the Ashen Glittersprite. Torchlight III supports all of Nintendo Switch’s play modes, and this one could be great on the go in handheld mode.
