Toy Soldiers HD gameplay trailer delay delayed release date again September 30, 2021 Accelerate Games Signal Studios

Last month, Toy Soldiers HD received a trailer that delayed its release date a bit. Today, publisher Accelerate Games and developer Signal Studios released a longer Toy Soldiers HD gameplay trailer that delays the release date again a little more — now landing on September 30, 2021 on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (and playable via backward compatibility on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X). The reason for the delay is that there are a “few more details to fine-tune” prior to the first-party certification process, which no one will be upset with — players would much rather play a game that’s good.

Toy Soldiers HD is an “overhauled, upgraded, and better-than-ever” version of the 2010 strategic World War I-themed shooter, with new single-player and multiplayer elements and all of the game’s original DLC included. Following this game’s release, a high-definition remaster of Toy Soldiers: Cold War will come at some point. Toy Soldiers 2: Finest Hour is also in development.

Here’s a reminder of what precisely you’ll be doing in Toy Soldiers HD with its delayed September release date, if the new meaty gameplay preview trailer isn’t enough:

Toy Soldiers HD gives you the ability to experience the battle from both top-down strategic perspective and a first-person POV take the action into your own hands’ perspective. Watch the action unfold or jump feet first into the boots of an infantryman and race across the battlefield dodging artillery while using a flamethrower to burn your enemies to a crisp. Mount your horse and charge the enemy head on with your cavalry. Pilot bombers and drop shells that pockmark the field below or strafe your opponent using biplanes. Go hands-on howitzers and mow down the enemy.
