Right when we thought the days of confusing the Wii and Wii U were over, Toys R\’ Us has come out with a misprinted ad calling the Wii U an original Wii. The first page of the Toys R\’ Us ad reads: \”Race over to page 8 for more details on Mario Kart 8 for Wii\”. Last thing I heard, there was no version of Mario Kart 8 in development for the original Wii; however, it seems like Toys R\’ Us has some inside information.

This is not, by any means, the first time the Wii U has been confused for a Wii, but it is the first time in quite a while. Back in December, Sears had confused the Wii and the Wii U on its website. Another retailer dumped a bunch of Wii Minis into a bin labeled \”Wii U\”. Although over a year after its original launch, it seems like retail workers are still getting their Wiis and Wii Us confused!
