Trails of Cold Steel I and II Switch port release dates

Publisher Clouded Leopard Entertainment has announced the Japanese and Asia release dates for the Nintendo Switch ports of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel I and II. The first game, Trails of Cold Steel I Kai -Thor’s Military Academy 1204-, will launch for Switch on July 8, while the second game’s release date is set a month later, on Aug. 5, 2021. The games will feature language support for Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel initially released in Japan for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in September 2013. The game launched for PC in August 2017 then released as the remastered Kai version with added features from the PC version on PS4 in March 2018. The story focuses on protagonist Rean Schwarzer and members of Class VII at Thors Military Academy.

The direct sequel, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II, originally released for the PS3 and PS Vita in September 2014, then for PC in February 2018, and remastered for PS4 as The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II Kai -The Erebonian Civil War- in April 2018. The story takes place after the events from the first game, where Rean gets Class VII members back together to fight for restoration.

Trails of Cold Steel III and Trails of Cold Steel IV are already available for Nintendo Switch, but this will mark the Switch debut for the first two games from the series.
