The Ubisoft Forward digital conference is returning on Saturday, June 12 at 3 p.m. ET / noon PT as part of E3 2021. It will contain announcements from Ubisoft development teams around the world. And unfortunately, that’s pretty much every detail Ubisoft has announced at its website so far, so we’re left to speculate about everything else.
In 2020, there were two Ubisoft Forward digital conferences as a replacement for an E3 conference and to keep fans abreast of big video game announcements. The first Forward from July 2020 provided no Nintendo Switch news whatsoever, but the second one from September 2020 at least provided more details on Immortals Fenyx Rising ahead of its release.
What the E3 2021 Ubisoft Forward might bring in June is anyone’s guess. Some fans are still clamoring for a Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle sequel, and a social media snafu from back in January had briefly raised hopes that it could happen. Either way, more Just Dance always sounds like a safe bet. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is still in development (albeit delayed indefinitely) as well, and although it hasn’t been formally announced for Switch, a future announcement seems somewhat likely. Additionally, a job listing from back in February suggests that Ubisoft has an “unexpected” AAA game in development for Nintendo Switch.
More generally, Ubisoft also has an open-world Star Wars game in development at Massive Entertainment.
What do you hope to see at the E3 2021 Ubisoft Forward this June?
