In a recent statement, Mike Fethers, a representative of the UK Retailer \”The Hut,\” commented that he believes that the Wii U has reached a \”respectable\” install base in the UK. Historically, Nintendo has not performed as well in the UK as the rest of Europ, so this is positive news coming from one of the UK’s large retailers.

\”Nintendo now has a respectable install base in the UK for Wii U, with 2015 starting with Captain Toad and leading into Zelda, it’s a good news story. Also, with Amiibo being a huge success, it’ll be great to see more titles take advantage of that.\”

This corroborates earlier news from Nintendo UK that revealed that the Wii U sales for 2014 were 60% higher year-over-year compared to 2013. We will keep you updated as further sales information is released out of Europe!

Eli buys virtually every Nintendo title that comes out but has expanded his collection to include amiibo. He hasn't taken them out of their boxes, though, so he might be a bit insane. When not playing video games, Eli likes writing about politics and games. He also runs a decent amount. Outside.
