Nintendo officially announced that it will be shutting down its Wii U & 3DS social network Miiverse later this year. The news came as a shock to some longtime fans, many of which who have been using the service since its launch back in 2012 alongside the Wii U. While Nintendo will be allowing users to download their own posts as a memento, the entirety of the network will still be lost after its closure. Or maybe not.

A valiant web developer has took to Twitter to show his progress on a project that he’s working on—archiving all of Miiverse. His main motivation is saving the amazing hand drawn art that is all over the network, but his ultimate goal is to archive every single post so it can be viewed forever. His Twitter handle just so happens to be “Drastic Actions”; a very fitting name for a task such as this. Here’s hoping he’s actually able to pull it off!

You can keep track of his work over on GitHub.
