Most case solutions for the Switch focus on keeping the console itself protected, and some also shield the Joy-Con as well. But, the folks over at Venom have taken things a bit of a step further with an interestingly unique design.
What makes the Venom Protective Shell CCase different is that in addition to shielding the console and Joy-Con, it also includes a compartment for up to eight game cartridges. So, you’ll always have a collection of titles with you regardless of where you take your Switch. Compartments like this are usually featured in carrying cases, not protective ones. On top of iust having this compartment, the designers also put effort into making sure it doesn’t get in the way of using your Switch either in handheld or docked mode. So, when docking the console, all you have to do is flip the cartridge compartment upwards so that it hovers over the dock rather than blocking it.
In addition to that feature, the Venom case also sports a hard-shell for the console and matte hand grips around each of the Joy-Con which make them more grippy and adds an extra bump for comfort. In addition, a 9H tempered glass screen protector is also thrown into the package (which is very important as the Switch’s screen is not very durable at all).
The Venom Switch Protective Shell Case will go on sale via Amazon UK tomorrow (April 19, 2019) and will cost £12.99 ($16.90 USD). There doesn’t seem to be any US listings at this time, but if you live stateside, you can try importing it.
