Free-to-play first-person shooter Warface recently surpassed one million players on Switch. Releasing by surprise on February 18, the game reaches this milestone after a little bit over a month on the hybrid platform.
The one-million-strong army’s combined playtime amounts to 83,000 days. PvE missions are the most popular pastime in Warface – players have indulged in 1,285,309 of those. Co-op Special Operations draw in quite a few crowds as well, as 148,507 of those have been completed.
Ivan Pabyarzhin, franchise lead for the game, has stated that he wants to continue to build on this success by keeping the Switch version alive and kicking with “constant updates.”
Warface already benefits from lots of love and care in its Switch version. The port makes use of gyroscopic controls and HD rumble, is the first Switch title to run on CryEngine, and is truly free-to-play, as you can access online multiplayer and use voice chat without a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online.
Have you tried out Warface on Switch? Are you a fan? Does it play well compared to other platforms? If you have not given it a shot yet, are you considering it? It’s completely free, after all, so you’ve got very little to lose, except for your time. Tell us what you’re thinking in the comments.
