About the show

The E3 2021 Nintendo Direct focuses exclusively on Switch software, and primarily on games launching this year. Sorry, but there won’t be any “Switch Pro” news today, or any hardware news in general. Software is another story, as Nintendo has a 40-minute presentation planned. They haven’t really teased any specific games yet, so the lineup could be just about anything. After the Direct ends, Nintendo Treehouse will be live for three hours showing off gameplay.

Many fans are hoping for updates on Breath of the Wild 2, Bayonetta 3, and Metroid Prime 4. We’ve also reported on rumors about Donkey Kong and 2D Metroid on the way. The show could also include updates for Nintendo Switch Online, games from indie partners, or anniversary celebration plans. What do you hope to see at the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct? Leave your thoughts below, and get ready for the show!
