The Game Awards 2020 Smash DLC live

The Game Awards 2020 are here! I’m not sure if it feels too soon or too late because the quarantine has destroyed my concept of time. But it’s here all the same! Geoff Keighley’s show is returning once again to provide us with a mixture of accolades and reveal trailers, and probably an awkward meme or two. Plus, we already know we’re getting a Smash DLC reveal!

Watch The Game Awards 2020

This year’s show should be packed, based on what Keighley has said so far. On top of all the usual awards, we can expect somewhere around 12-15 world premieres, ranging from AAA to indie. It all kicks off tonight at 3:30 pm Pacific / 6:30 PM Eastern. That’s 11:30 pm for our readers in the UK. the first 30 minutes are a pre-show, and then the full event will roll late into the night. Nintendo is back with a Smash DLC reveal

Nintendo has made a big splash at past shows, and they recently confirmed they’ll be doing the same at The Game Awards 2020. This time, they’re unveiling the next fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! This isn’t a first, as Nintendo actually revealed Joker as upcoming Smash DLC at The Game Awards 2018. They also showed off Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order at that show, so hopefully they’re bringing some game reveals tonight as well! Whatever they bring to the table, we’ll be covering it live as the news breaks.
