Nintendo Direct mini partner showcase

Nintendo fans are chomping at the bit for a new Direct, and it’s finally here… sort of. Late last night we learned that something called a “Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase” is happening today. This will apparently be the first in a series of showcases like this. The announcement post says it’s “a series focused on titles from our development & publishing partners,” and all of them will be previously announced titles this time around.

The inaugural Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase kicks off this morning at 7:00 a.m. Pacific / 10:00 a.m. Eastern. That’s 3:00 p.m. for our readers in the UK. Nintendo’s Japanese Twitter account indicates that it will run for about 10 minutes, but sometimes there are regional differences. As usual, we’ll have it all here for you to watch at Nintendo Enthusiast, and we’ll be covering any major news as it drops.

What could we see?

First and foremost, everything we see here will be a previously announced game, so there shouldn’t be any big surprises. However, there are games we know almost nothing about that were technically already revealed. Bayonetta 3 and No More Heroes 3 come to mind. The latter may be a bit too far into the wishful thinking category. Nintendo could also highlight prominent indies with degrees of Switch exclusivity, like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Axiom Verge 2, or Sports Story. Whatever it is, we’re excited, so tune in and watch along with us!
