Nintendo Direct

It’s time for another exciting livestream presentation from Nintendo! Yesterday, the Big N announced plans for a new Nintendo Direct, and the time is upon us. You can look forward to 40 minutes of announcements and trailers. That’s about as long as Nintendo’s E3 presentation, which makes it long for a Direct. The presentation will focus on Switch games launching this year. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if there are one or two teasers for 2020 titles. It all kicks off at 3:00 p.m. Pacific / 6:00 p.m. Eastern. That’s 11:00 p.m. for our friends in the UK. You can watch it all by clicking below!

What to expect

As stated above, this Nintendo Direct will primarily focus on games coming out this year. Nintendo specifically mentions Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Pokémon Sword & Shield. We could also see more from Daemon X Machina and the Link’s Awakening remake.

These are all confirmed 2019 Switch titles, but the fun doesn’t have to stop there. It’s likely we’ll see some new games revealed, or at least new Switch ports. For example, we’re pretty sure that Overwatch is on the way to Switch. GameStop seems to think there are quite a few announcements coming, based on numerous new SKUs appearing in their system. Of course, there’s always the possibility of more Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC being revealed.

Whatever’s on the way, we’ll be covering it all here at Nintendo Enthusiast. Tune in to watch the Nintendo Direct live with us, and stick around for our news and editorial coverage in the aftermath!
