nintendo direct september 2021

It’s that time again! Nintendo is back with another Nintendo Direct live stream presentation full of trailers and announcements. This time around the show is scheduled to last for 40 minutes, making it one of the longer non-E3 Directs. Nintendo has also said that the show will focus primarily on Switch games releasing this winter. However, that’s a pretty vague timeframe, and they didn’t say they would only talk about that period. It all kicks off at 3:00 pm Pacific / 6:00 pm Eastern and 11:00 pm for our readers in the UK. You can watch the September 2021 Nintendo Direct live by clicking the embedded video below!

September 2021 Nintendo Direct

What to expect

As usual, this Nintendo Direct could surprise us with just about anything, but we’ve got a few ideas. For one, today is Nintendo’s 132nd birthday, so I expect there will be some mention of that. Nintendo’s official Japanese website also listed a new Kirby game earlier today. Meanwhile, FCC filings suggest a new controller is on the way. We’ve also seen recent listings for a Castlevania Advance Collection, which would be a nice addition to the Switch library. Finally, there have been rumors of an update to Nintendo Switch Online which would add Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles.

Whatever the latest Nintendo Direct brings, we’ll be covering it all live. Stay tuned to Nintendo Enthusiast for all your Direct coverage!
