It’s now day 2 of E3 2019, and Ubisoft is up next. Soon, the French publisher will kick things off with a pre-show at 12PM PT/3PM ET. It won’t be piecemeal either, as Ubisoft will be covering “updates on Steep, For Honor, Trials, and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, as well as some special surprises.” Following that, it’s main event time at 1PM PT/4PM ET, covering everything from new titles and big updates on games like The Division 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
Watch Dogs Legion headlines
As for surprises to expect on the Switch side, previous E3s featured major collaborations between Ubisoft and Nintendo. Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle became an unexpected hit during the Switch’s launch year, and Star Fox crossing over with Starlink: Battle for Atlas was a welcome surprise in 2018. While it’s unlikely to see another game in the same vein, Ubisoft’s lengthy presentation will nonetheless be one worth watching.
Personally, I am hoping against hope for a brand new Rayman game. Six years have already passed since the phenomenal 2D platformer Rayman Legends; it’s also been sixteen years since the limbless wonder’s last original 3D outing with Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. Ubisoft has previously considered a new Prince of Persia, though I doubt the series will be “unpaused” this year.
From a realistic perspective, we can expect updates on existing projects like Beyond Good and Evil 2 and the recently leaked Watch Dogs Legion. Worse comes to worst, we can always count on a Just Dance 2020 reveal for the Nintendo Wii if Just Dance 2019 is of any indication. Heck, I’ll be much more shocked if that doesn’t happen!
Additionally, Ubisoft’s E3 conference will end with special guests throwing down in a “Rainbow Six Siege Celebrity showmatch” if you’re into that sort of thing.
In any case, what kind of reveals do you hope to see in Ubisoft’s presentation today? Share your thoughts with us below!
