There’s a new update on the Kickstarter campaign of one Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It turns out the game, which has already been delayed, is also pulling in WayForward to help finish development.

WayForward is most notably known for its Shantae titles and has an exceedingly positive reputation as a platformer veteran.

WayForward knows its stuff

According to Koji Igarashi, the mastermind behind the Castlevania franchise, there is also some previous staff who he has worked with on the WayForward team. So, the collaboration already has some common ground.

And this is just speculation, but the way Igarashi worded this update seems like WayForward is being brought in mostly for the fine tuning of the game. Things like crashes, bugs, and overall polish seem to be the weaker aspect for Igarashi’s team, and WayForward will hopefully help with that.

Bloodstained Release still unclear

Again, sadly there was no new release date mentioned for Bloodstained. It is still set for sometime in 2019. It’s clear that Igarashi wants the game to be true to his vision with little outside pressure. But, he did mention that with WayForward on the team, the release window just became that much shorter.

What do you guys think? Is it a good or bad sign that WayForward is hopping on? Do you think the game will be delayed again? Let us know your thoughts down below.
