Diddy Kong Racing

We’re now nearly through the holiday weekend. While many of us are no doubt traveling, hanging out with family, and stuffing ourselves into food comas, many of us have been able to–or will be able to–spend some time gaming as well. What does that entail for you? Whether you’re knee-deep in the latest release, enjoying your Black Friday pick-ups, or cruising through your backlog, let’s hear what you’ve got planned.

This long weekend, I’ve pried myself away from studying long enough to finally finish Diddy Kong Racing, a game that very well may have been the best kart racer ever upon its release in 1997. After slowly working through the grueling single-player races one golden balloon at a time, I eventually prevailed in a climactic showdown with Wiz-Pig that seemed completely unbeatable at first glance.

Beyond that, I’ve dabbled in a few different titles. I’m still messing around with Luigi’s Mansion 3, and I got a little bit more A Hat in Time in. It’s been a solid, laid back gaming weekend overall, and I’m finally feeling rested for the first time in months.

What are you working on this weekend? Did you grab something cool on Black Friday, are you playing a brand new game, or are you just doing some good old-fashioned backlogging? Sound off with your plans in the comments.
