Rumors of a 3D Mario collection consisting of Super Mario 64Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy have been swirling for a few months now. Many of the same sources claim that we’ll see Super Mario 3D World Deluxe join Pikmin 3 Deluxe on Switch before too long. Granted, little hang-ups like COVID-19 have managed to throw the certainty of all sorts of plans like these into flux, but many (myself included) are still holding out hope for one or both of these projects to land within the next several months. Assuming they do, which 3D Mario game will you replay on Switch first?

For years, I’ve wanted to dive into Super Mario Sunshine on Switch. When it became clear that Virtual Console was not going to be happening, I gave up hope, but the 3D Mario collection brought those hopes right back to the forefront. Super Mario Sunshine is my favorite Mario title, my favorite Nintendo title, and is just one of my favorite games ever. I normally replay it on a yearly basis, and while I didn’t do a full playthrough this year, I’d marathon the game right away if I could play it on the go.

If we get some 3D Mario goodness on Switch this year, which of the games will you replay first? Are you a Super Mario 64 purist? A die-hard Super Mario Sunshine fan like me? Are you totally entranced with the idea of Super Mario Galaxy or Super Mario 3D World on the go? Let us know in the comments!
