The immediate aftermath of Thanksgiving is characterized by crowded malls, feverish shopping, and constant hovering over tons of quickly-depleting online deals. Black Friday, which has now expanded into more of a “Black Thursday through Monday,” has just about come and gone once again after a host of great offers. Did you pick any games up this year? Find any great discounts on microSD cards? Did you finally pull the trigger on a Switch or a Nintendo game you’d been waiting on?
I looked at all sorts of stuff, but was not tempted into anything until just over an hour ago. On top of some fairly heavy discounts, GameStop is running a Buy Two Get One Free promotion on preowned current-gen games. I stacked one more 15% off coupon and bolstered my PS4 collection, nabbing Far Cry 5, God of War, and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey for $23 total. I’m very happy with how that worked out, especially since these are all games that I nearly bit on at full price. Otherwise, I came very close to grabbing a giant microSD card so that I can stop juggling different downloads on my Switch, but stubbornness won out again, and it looks like I’m waiting another year.
