Super Mario 3D World Bowser's Fury

While most Nintendo fans are currently enthralled with Super Mario 3D All-Stars (just a few days away, now!), a few of us are also quite excited for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, which is set to hit the Switch in February 2021. The most mysterious factor of what might be the Wii-U-to-Switch pipeline’s last hurrah is the add-on, titled Bowser’s Fury. We don’t know what form this new content will take, but if you remember the teaser trailer (posted below for your convenience), it looks big, open, and angry. While we don’t have much to go on, what do you think it will entail?

I’m expecting a slightly more open-ended 3D Mario experience from Bowser’s Fury, but with all of the co-op and fun power-ups we’ve come to love from Super Mario 3D World. The area we see in the teaser strikes me as a possible hub area from which co-op squads should be able to access new levels. I’m not sure whether to think that those theoretical levels would be linear platforming or something more sandbox-y, but regardless, I’m excited to what’s up.

Based on what little we’ve seen, what do you think that Bowser’s Fury will entail when Super Mario 3D World launches on Switch? Let us know in the comment section below.
