Nintendo Direct Xenoblade Definitive

Considering the hundreds of days we waited, the numerous prior rumors that ended up wrong, and the total shadow-drop, today’s Direct came as a surprise. It was technically a miniature Direct, and it didn’t reveal any major new first-party games, but it was third-party heaven. Plus, we got a release date for the long-awaited Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. It’s been a long, dry period for Nintendo updates, but we’ve finally got some stuff to chew on (and I can stop scraping the bottom of the barrel for these ATAs). So, for today, what was your favorite announcement of the Direct?

While I am very excited to hear that games like Borderlands 2 and Bioshock Infinite are gonna be coming to Switch, I’m honestly most excited that we have a release date for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. It’s one of the best JRPGs of all time, and it looks absolutely glorious in HD. I skipped the 3DS version, so playing it on the go is gonna be a treat. I am absolutely ecstatic to get lost all over again in one of the greatest games ever made.

What was your favorite part of today’s Direct? Is one of your favorites coming to Switch? Did a new title catch you off guard? Let us know in the comments!
