Just a little while ago, a now-pulled Amazon listing seemingly leaked an Overwatch port for Switch. Given Nintendo’s proclivity to pick some rather curious choices for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC, and the fact that they have a few unannounced spots yet, it got a few of us thinking about a possible Overwatch DLC fighter. The problem is that Overwatch has a diverse cast of 31 characters, so narrowing the pool down to a single hero may be a bit challenging. That’s why we want to know who you think the best fit for a possible DLC cameo is!

I can think of a few good choices off the top of my head, but I think the most obvious and the best choice is Tracer. One reason for this is that she’s the de facto mascot for Blizzard’s shooter. Though there are few fairly recognizable characters, Tracer is the one seemingly everyone associates with Overwatch, and thus her inclusion would be met with a bigger splash than most of the others.

More importantly than brand recognition though is her playstyle. As a shooter, Tracer brings some added variety to a lineup that some would say is melee-heavy. Her special abilities would bring a unique feel to Smash as well. While I imagine her Blink ability would function similarly to Falco’s side-B special, Tracer’s core feature is her ability to Recall, essentially resetting her position and health to their states just a few seconds prior. This would play really well with aggressive off-stage play as a quick way to grab a kill then return to safety. Lastly, her Pulse Bomb might serve well either as a special (much like Link’s bombs) or as her Final Smash.

Though Tracer may seem like the easy answer to the question of best fit in Ultimate, there are some other characters who you could make a strong case for. Who do you think would work best in Smash and why?
