That’s right, all of the power of the good old Wii is coming straight to you in a tiny powerful red box–the Wii Mini is coming to North America. The console will play your already well established library of Wii classics such as Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, The Metroid Prime Trilogy, and much more. But, will it play your dusty copy of the Mega Man collection for GameCube? Well, no, sorry folks but the blue bomber will have to make his debut on your virtual console as the Wii Mini can\’t play GameCube discs.
The tiny dynamo landed in Canada and Europe last fall and is top loading with only one port for a USB plug in. The Wii Mini will also not be able to surf the internet. Bundled with the tiny red dynamo will be a complete physical copy of Mario Kart Wii and a red Wii Remote with motion plus built in and a red nunchuck attachment.
Red is the only color choice noted so far as there has been no other color choices released respectively in Europe or Canada. The Wii Mini is set to launch mid-November for a low price point of only $99.99.
So, what do you think of the little red dynamo in a box? Will you be picking one up this holiday season?
