Wolfenstein: Youngblood

With its release only a couple of days away, Bethesda’s YouTube channel has uploaded a gory new Wolfenstein: Youngblood launch trailer full of lead-pumping, blood-spilling, mecha-Nazi-killing action. The trailer, which you can check out below, is narrated by a grisly B.J. Blazkowicz. The video follows his twin daughters on their mission, which is aptly described as “find our dad and kill Nazis.”

Pretty intense, huh? Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a cooperative adventure that looks to continue the rebooted Wolfenstein IP’s tradition of hardcore and fantastic first-person shooting when it releases digitally on Switch and other platforms this Friday. Hopes for the Switch version are high, as the revered minds at Panic Button are behind the port job. Jerk Gustafsson, executive director of MachineGames, recently called the game’s port quality on Switch a “miracle.”

Panic Button has an excellent reputation as port masters, built behind several successful Switch ports including Bethesda’s own DOOM and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Now, they have Wolfenstein: Youngblood ready to go on release day and are aiming to do the same with DOOM: Eternal. If their past work is anything to go off of, Wolfenstein: Youngblood will run quite impressively on Switch and continue to push the limits of what we thought was possible on Nintendo’s hybrid console.
