The Wall Street Journal has confirmed via its own sources that the Nintendo NX, the company’s next console, will feature cartridges instead of hard discs. This further corroborates rumors that we have been hearing from various sources for months.

One of the reasons the WSJ cited in Nintendo’s decision to move to cartridges is the affordability as well as durability of the form of media storage.

We will keep you updated on new NX information as it becomes available.
