WWE Brawlhalla

Brawlhalla is a fighting game noted for its wacky crossovers. Playable fighters in the game include Rayman, Shovel Knight, and Ranno from Rivals of Aether. The game has even brought in fighters from non-videogame media, like Adventure Time and Hellboy. With its new WWE announcement, Brawlhalla is now extending its crossovers into the real world.

Four real-world WWE Superstars will join the cast of playable characters in Brawlhalla on Thursday. These include Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Xavier Woods, Becky Lynch, and John Cena. These WWE wrestlers will join the cast of Brawlhalla for a fighting experience like they’ve never experienced before.

As with many of Brawhalla’s guest characters, the WWE stars are not unique characters themselves. Rather, they are skins for existing fighters. The Rock is a Sentinel skin, and Xavier Woods is a Bodvar skin. Becky Lynch is a skin for Gnash, while John Cena is a skin for Hattori.

The developers have made some interesting decisions to make the new characters fit into Brawlhalla’s fighting system. Characters in this game fight using a mix of personal melee attacks and weapons. As a result, we will soon see the new characters fighting with weapons like a chair or a ladder.

WWE x Brawlhalla

A brand new mode for Brawlhalla is coming with these incoming WWE fighters. This mode is known as Brawldown. The developers have not yet explained the specifics of the mode, but it seems to pit teams of fighters against one another. Brawldown takes place on a WWE-inspired stage, complete with bouncy ropes. It even has “summer slam” written across the front of the stage. Beginning tomorrow, players will be able to explore the ins and outs of this new mode.
