Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

If you’ve played Xenoblade Chronicles 2, you should be presented with a starting bonus of 100,000G when you dive into Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. The bonus is entirely optional, but you only have one chance to accept it. If you’re interested in a bit of a boost to help you race through a replay or tackle challenging sidequests right away, this might be for you.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is pulling out all of the stops in its bid to reintroduce a classic JRPG to the masses. Combined with a new epilogue and tons of quality of life updates, the game seems well worth returning to on the basis of new and refreshed content alone. Throw in the gorgeous visuals and remastered soundtrack, and, well, how have you not bought the game yet?

We thought that Shulk’s remade inaugural adventure lived up to the hype. In his review, our own Miguel Moran said:

Ultimately, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition takes a Wii RPG that was years ahead of its time and gives it new life and the visuals it deserved a decade ago. This is a must-play JRPG full of iconic characters, immersive environments, and addictive combat. There may be some minor technical and visual issues with this re-release, but they’re outweighed by the brilliance of the new content and the inarguable timelessness of Xenoblade Chronicles.

Have you ordered your copy of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition? Will you be collecting the 100,000G bonus? Why or why not? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments!
