Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is coming to Switch

Another weekend is upon us, and if you are lucky, you might find the time to sink your teeth into a game or two. What games might that entail for you? Whether you are knee-deep in the latest release or cruising through your backlog, let’s hear what gaming you have planned this weekend.

I tried and failed to wrap up Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories before it leaves Game Pass at the end of the month. The astute observer will note that I’ve admitted defeat even though there are three days left in the month. That’s because Chain of Memories sucks big time and I’ve retired it. The game felt more like an obstacle between me and the later Kingdom Hearts games than it did an excellent experience like the first title. I am also playing a bit of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, as always, and I’m playing a bit of Minecraft here and there with my sisters.

I’ve moved onto playing Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, an excellent take on the Donkey Kong Country formula, and once I finish that, I’m thinking of trying out some other Game Pass games, such as Ace Combat 7 and Doom Eternal. Otherwise, I’m planning to pick Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door back up again soon. Clearly, I’m quite busy with a handful of great games.

What did you work on this weekend? Are you playing a brand new game, are you aimlessly managing your village in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or are you just doing some good old-fashioned backlogging? Share what you have going on in the comments.
