Koei Tecmo arrived at Tokyo Game Show ready to display Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Not only did the company come equipped with a fresh trailer, but it also hosted a live stream showing off gameplay. During the stream, a new playable character was confirmed for the title: Young Impa.
Young Impa looks like she’s ready to lay the smackdown on hordes of enemies
Check out the comparison shot above. I’m glad she survives all those years to help Link with his memory in Breath of the Wild!
Nintendo of America confirmed the character is indeed a younger Impa on Twitter:
Meet Impa, 100 years before the events of The Legend of #Zelda: Breath of the Wild!

Ye gods, monsters are dying in those shots! I like the picture of the spirits laying the hurt on Bokoblins. It just goes to show your ancestors are never truly gone and are always ready to assist you, should the need arise. I can’t wait to see what other tricks she has up her sleeves as Hyrule Warriors gets closer to launch.
