Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel will release this winter, gets TGS 2021 gameplay

We first got a glimpse of the next Yu-Gi-Oh! video game in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel in July, and Konami has shared more at Tokyo Game (Show) TGS 2021 with new gameplay footage and a release window for this winter.

So far, we know that Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel is a free-to-play title that will feature over 10,000 cards to unlock. The game will feature an expansive library of cards that include monsters, spell cards, and trap cards that we’ve seen for over two decades in the franchise’s history. These include everything from the iconic Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes White Dragon to the latest cards in the Master Duel format.

Master Duel will include a comprehensive tutorial mode to help new and returning players jump right into dueling if you haven’t kept up with the trading card game.

Konami also shared more Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel gameplay with a world-first look at a duel between players in a separate livestream. Check it out below:

Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel will release for Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PC, and smartphones this winter. Konami didn’t share more details about the release window, but “this winter” usually means somewhere between the end of this year to early next year.
