Rebellion has announced that Zombie Army Trilogy will be releasing for Nintendo Switch this month. The game brings together all three of the original Sniper Elite spin-off zombie games in a single package. The Zombie Army Trilogy Nintendo Switch release date is March 31. That means there’s only a few weeks to wait until you can shoot zombies and get rewarded with X-Ray Kill Cam shots.
Portable Zombie Army Trilogy
Rebellion has had a lot of fun with the spin-off games from the Sniper Elite franchise. The trilogy packs together a remastered version of Nazi Zombie Army and the game’s sequel, both of which were released as DLC for Sniper Elite V2. The third game in the trilogy was never released separately and was a new game upon its release in this trilogy. This title doesn’t bring the latest game in the franchise, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, to Switch, but it’s a step in the right direction.
In Zombie Army Trilogy, Hitler has raised an army of the undead and is now controlling them as he tries to take the world by force. Players can go it alone or team up with three others in order to take down Hitler’s newly awoken Nazi zombie army across three campaigns, composed of 15 missions in total.
If you’ve ever played one of the main games for Switch, like Sniper Elite 3, you’ll have an idea of what to expect. Using mainly sniper rifles, players will take down zombies as they progress through levels. While the zombie spin-off games do sometimes require players to spray bullets with a Thompson, there are plenty of areas filled with far off zombies to shoot. Here Rebellion has gone all out, opening up its X-Ray Kill Cam shots to show off the putrid organs being destroyed in accurate detail.
Before you ask in the comments, yes, it is possible to shoot off a zombie’s balls. Check out some more screenshots of the game below.
